Both Pelican and Otter make many sizes of waterproof boxes. There are an especially large number of choices for smaller sizes, so you can generally find one that is perfect for a small camera, cell phone, Disto, etc. The Curtec (Darren) drums are nice, but likely larger than you'll need for a point-and-shoot camera. Dry bags also work well for non-abrasive conditions, but they do not hold up well for caving unless protected by another bag or container.
