Jim Coke (head of QRSS) says this episode takes place near Tulum in Quintana Roo. I suspect this guy Steve Backshall is similar to Bear Grylls – sort of an outdoor adventurer but more sensational than hardcore.

I’m surprised to see this from PBS. I went to their web site but there is very little information about this program. It doesn’t say what cave network, but my guess is somewhere in Quintana Roo.
