Introduction Vaisali was the daughter of a maid MALINI BY KING LOMAPADAof Angarajyam. She was instrumental in luring and bringing SageRISHYASRINGA son of sage VIBHANDAKA to Angarajyam, to bring rain after adraught of 12 years by the yagya by him. In gratitude, king Lomapada married his adopted daughter SANTHA to sageRishyasringa. Santha was born to king DASARATHA AND KOUSALAYA. 2. Dasaratha begets a daughter. At that time king DASARATHA had only one queen KOUSALYA.Kousalya gave birth to a female child. She was limping. Dasaratha was unhappy. MY note- Thisincident should be about 20 years backto the Puthra Kama Ishti yaga by king Dasaratha, performed by sageRishyasringa. 3. Dasaratha giveshis daughter to king Lomapada in adoption Kulaguru sage VASISTHA advised if the child is given inadoption to a king, her limping would disappear. At that time king Lomapada ofAngaragyam was desiring to adopt a child. His capital was Chambapuri (Angarajyam). In obedience to kulaguru Vasistha, Dasaratha gave hisdaughter in adoption to his friend KING LOMAPADA. What a wonder! Her limping disappeared. She was namedSANTHA. 3a. Dasaratha marrytwo more princes Kousalya did not deliver any more children for years. SoDasaratha married two more princes in due course- KAIKEYI AND SUMITHRA. Theybecame the 2nd and 3rd queens. My note- Now we canunderstand that Kaikeyi was very young. 4. Draught inAngarajyam About this time draught appeared in Angarajyam due to thecurse of a Brahmin on the king, as the king did not listened to him on someissue. No rain at all. It continued for 12 years. How to bring the rain was the problem of kingLomapada. His Rajaguru was away with his son, since his son startedloving VAISALI, daughter of Malini, which he desired to bar. Somehow Lomapadapleaded and got him to Chambapuri to conduct a yagya and please INDRA AND GETRAIN. Indra was the lord ofrain. 4a. Malini andVaisali with groups proceed to deep forest Rajaguru get a mystic vision on the night he arrived inChambapuri. He should get sage RISHYA SRINGA (having two hornsin the head) from forests and yagya has to be performed by him only. Rishyasringa was son ofsage VIBHANDAKA. He brought up his son with least knowledge of women in deepforest. Rajaguru, specifically desired and pointed Vaisali for themission. Vaisali proceeded with her mother Malini and group of people to forestthrough river. Vaisali and Malini alone proceeded in deep forest. 5. Rishyasringa getlured by Vaisali For the teenager, not having the smell of women, Vaisali was a wonder.He got lured by her. Vibhandaka smelled the danger after a day. But he couldnot change his son much. At one moment, Rishayasringa felt he was getting attractedby a MAYAVI, and wanted to restart his penance, he was about to curse Vaisali,and Malini appeared in the scene. Malini appraised themission and begged not to curse her daughter. She knew sage Rishyasringa has the power to bringrain, Rishyasringa proceeded with them to Champapuri happily. At Champapuri, as the people proceeded receivingRishyasringa, Malini and her daughter Vaisali were leftbehind. No body to care. No sentences are sufficient to describe thescene. All people pushing her back. Really the scenes of the film come beforeme. It was actress Geetha played the role of Malini in the film Vaisali. 6. Rain, rain, rain As Rishyasringa started performing yagya at Champapuri,clouds appeared, and when he completed it was RAIN, RAIN RAIN. Everybody enjoying thehuge rainfall and water after 12 years. 7. Reward toRishyasringa. Kulaguru appraised king Lomapada to give a suitable rewardto the sage, marrying his daughter SANTHA TO RISHYASRINGA. Even king Lomapada would have happily married Vaisali tothe sage, but for the compulsion of Kulaguru, Santha is onlyadopted daughter, and the offspring will rule the kingdom as his successor.Kulaguru was specific Vaisali should not get married to the sage… It was Netumuti Venu acted as Kula guru 8. Vaisali rushes toMalini Vaisali too got neglected now. She realized thesituation. She rushed to her motherstruggling in rainwater. In the happiness, nobody cared the leftout Malini and Vaisali. For the people now they were nothing tocare…. 9. King Yudhishthiralistens to sage Vedavyasa.
