ARUNDHATI, Rati and allegory

Wendy DONIGER style narration on “Allegorical text” as presented
by the youth, “Glorious india.com” is written here; the factuality is not
doubted as it does exist in Brahma-vaivartha purana “mainly. However, the
non-application of mind as to what exactly does this complicated, chaotic
version would mean, could have been screened, after going thro the verses
in Brahma vaivartha puranam; lest it would be the modern “SAROJADEVI STYLE
STORIES” WOULD HAVE BEEN HEARD 1960S. This would be embarrassing to
answering, when the grandson raises a question after this presentation,
where grandfather would be net-flexed.

*Manasputra* is a Sanskrit <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanskrit> term
which literally means "willingly accepted as an own son" or "equivalent to *pan
son".* In Hinduism <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hinduism>, the god
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God> Brahma
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brahma> created 16 sons and 1 daughter from
his mind, As Brahma is considered their father, Saraswati
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saraswati>, Brahma's wife, is considered
their namesake mother.

      According to the *Bhagavata Purana
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhagavata_Purana>*, their names are: Angiras
(sage) <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angiras_(sage)>, Atri
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atri>, Pulastya
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulastya>, Marichi
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marichi>, Pulaha
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulaha>, Kratu
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kratu>, Bhrigu
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhrigu>, Vashistha
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vashistha>, Daksha
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daksha>, Narada
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narada>, Chitragupta
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chitragupta>, The Four Kumaras
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Kumaras>, Kardama Muni, and Shatarupa
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shatarupa>.

In this 7 Rishis are said to be first sapta rishis in the sky.
Shata rupa and Manu were the first wife and husband in the vamsa hood of
human population. Kardama @ Mehdadati is the foster father of Arundhati the
would be wife of Vasishtar. Dhakshan had 60 children thro Prasyuti wife out
of which 27 (days) were married to Moon.

  The *Kalika Purana <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalika_Purana>* narrates
the following tale about Rati's birth. After the creation of the 10 *Prajapati
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prajapati>*s, Brahma
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brahma> – the creator-god – creates Kama
(Kamadeva), the god of love, from his mind. Kama is ordered to spread love
in the world by shooting his flower-arrows. *Prajapati* Daksha
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daksha> is requested to present a wife to
Kama.

Later in order to distabilise the tapas of Shive, Manu was mind-born
creation of Brahma; Daksha, daughter Parvati was married to Shiva. Till now
Vishnu is not seen with Mahalakshmi since that will be in later creations
out of the manifestations; however , Vaishnav a sambradayam, very close to
within 2000 years , rendered a version that brahma is the son of Vishnu and
siva is the son of Brahma , to raise the level of Vishnu. Earlier Puranas
did contain the starry world in the sky in many descriptions. Sun was the
first and it had the 3 types of sandhyas viz Pratha Kaaale, madhyana
kaale and sandhyana kaale  which attracted the Brahma and 10 Prajapathis;
and evening is the time that shall not be used for any cohabitations by
sastras. So Brahma desire resulted in Sandya committing suicide-means
Sandhya exists only for a small period. Vishnu the darkness brings back the
Sandhya to l ife again in the morning. Sun has 2 wives Sandhya @ Sanjana @
saruyu and Chaaya the shadow.

Kama first uses his arrows against Brahma and the *Prajapatis*, who
are all incestuously attracted to Brahma's daughter Sandhya
("Twilight-dawn/dusk"). The god Shiva <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiva>,
who was passing by, watches them and laughs. Embarrassed, Brahma and the
*Prajapatis* tremble and perspire. From the sweat of Daksha rises a
beautiful woman named Rati, who Daksha presents to Kama as his wife.

    The *Brahma Vaivarta Purana
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brahma_Vaivarta_Purana>* narrates that
Sandhya committed suicide, after Brahma lusts for her. The god Vishnu
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vishnu> resurrects her and names her Rati,
and marries her to Kama. The *Shiva Purana
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiva_Purana>* mentions that after her
suicide <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_in_India>, Sandhya is reborn
from the sweat of Daksha as Rat In some texts, Shiva is described as the
father of Rati, as Shiva gave a boon to Sandhya. { sweat of dhaksha is
symbolism in human sex}.

The name *Rati* in Sanskrit means "the pleasure of love, sexual
passion or union, amorous enjoyment", all of which Rati personifies. Rati
also indicates the female-seed The word *Rati* also gives rise to other
love-related Sanskrit words like *Kama-rati* ("a man stupefied by desire"),
*rati-karman* ("sexual intercourse"), *rati-laksha* ("sexual intercourse"),
*rati-bhoga* ("sexual enjoyment"), *rati-shakti* ("virile power"),
*rati-jna* ("skilled in the art of love"), and *rati-yuddha* ("a
sex-battle").

Professor Catherine Benton of the Lake Forest College
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Forest_College> (Department of
Religion) relates her birth from the "desire-ridden" sweat to bodily fluids
produced during sexual intercourse, which are considered impure in
Hinduism. Benton thus, relates her to pollution too, but her association
with Kama – the auspicious god of love – grants her the status of an
auspicious goddess.

Arundhati out of the process; Sandhya is not only described as
daughter of Brahma but also Shiva because of the boon. It is ordinary
principles of astronomy in ursa major minor, Kritika constellations. Hence
only during the marriage Arundhati is shown. If read in these back ground,
t the presentations are well understood; lest it will be a sex story
presented , decrying our scriptures by ourselves. {In astrology the
Arumugam or Skandan with the six heads is nothing but the constellations
Kritika where 6 starry groups can be seen even today. And in Astrology,
there is a dictum that mostly KRITHIKA star people may not have belief in
GOD Samachar and will be arguing on pragmatism. Kritika 4th Padam could
be a little different. } KR IRS 8621
