3 The first Anuvaka can be styled the body or physical Anuvaka. It consists of 56 materials. Starting from Vajashcha, food as the foundation, it deals with the human body and its constituents - the vital airs, the organs of sense and the internal organ, the mind, and prays that all of them may be in a healthy and efficient working condition; and a long life and a comely old age; and finally, for sari-rani, birth in perfect bodies belonging to beings on the higher scale, - a sound soul, and a sound mind, in a sound body in short. The Chamakam occurs in the 4th Kanda 7th Prapāṭhaka of the Yajur Veda. In the six priors Prapāṭhakas, rites depending upon pari-secana had been dealt with; in the seventh, the pouring of clarified butter into the sacred fire with a wooden ladle made of Oudhumbari wood, what is called by the technical name of Vasordhara is stated. Brief Summary of What it Asks for.... The 2nd one can be termed as "Extension of Personality" *Anuvaka consists of 38 objects starting from Jyesthyam cha me, adhipatyam cha may - eminence and lordship over men and so on. The 3rd Anuvaka lists 36 objects which begin with "Sam cha may, may-ascha may '',* - worldly and non-worldly often Prayed for in Rudram.
2 We are conditioned to believe that to experience the presence of God and receive his blessing we need to perform certain rituals at certain places and at certain times. However, the essential teaching of any religion isn’t to reinforce the presence of God alone but also to teach humanity the necessary and fundamental requirements for a human to experience God. And that necessary requirement is a healthy body.It is a belief that health and exercise have nothing to do with Spirituality. It is true; ‘you are not the body, you are not the mind’; but it is your body and your mind. They are there to serve you every moment of life and hence need to be taken care of until your last breath. Health and exercise aren’t needed to keep oneself away from sickness and disorders, but are requirements to maintain a state of awareness and to stay connected with the Divine always.Every great scripture emphasizes the importance of caring for one’s own body. In the Bhagwat Gita, on Karma Yoga, Krishna advises Arjuna; “Exercise is your primary duty”. It is a Nitya Karma that one should never fail to perform in any life situation and neither should one justify the inability to exercise. It has to be done. It is a Nitya Karma because it is a sin if not done. Not just the Bhagwat Geeta, the Bible too is very transparent in emphasizing that One destroying the ‘Temple of God’ will be destroyed by God. The Corinthians 1 says, ‘You are the temple of God, the spirit of God dwells within you’. Similarly, the Quran on health and devotion says, ‘a strong and healthy believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak and unhealthy’.Experiencing the Divine within oneself is the only source of true peace and happiness. Every religion and spiritual soul insists on the same basic need to experience the divine; a healthy body. Tirumular, one of the greatest self-realized masters the world had seen; has said, ‘the first and foremost requirement isn’t devotion, rituals or faith but a healthy body without which experiencing the Divine is impossible’. A healthy body is the first requirement to experience the divine within oneself.Failing to understand this core truth, one will only waste time and life in search of God by indulging in activities out of blind belief, mechanical rituals and mere superstition. 3 The maintenance of the body is advocated in Thirumanthiram of Tirumular as shown below in he 8th adhikaram. Tirumantiram tantiram 8 section 1 describes the body that each type of soul takes. A meijnana has the body of sivam, the body of light. A yogin takes the body of bindu and nada. A mauni or a supreme soul in the state of silence takes a body of mukti which is beyond all the three voids. The vijnanakala’s body is made up of ānava, that of enjnana’sis maya and ajnana or sakala’s body is karma. Thus, it becomes clear that by the term body, Tirumandiram refers to the plane in which a soul operates. The five siva tattva, siva (apara bindu), sakti (apara nada), sadasiva, maheswara and suddha vidya emerge from suddha maya. They give rise to the seven vidya tattva, kalā, kāla, niyati, raga, avidya, purusha and maya, which are the products of asuddha maya. The twenty four atma tattva- five karmendriya (senses of action), five jnanendriyas (senses of knowledge), five elements (sky, air, fire, water and earth), five subtle qualities (sound, touch, form, taste and smell), four modifications of the mind (mind, intellect, ahamkara and chittham) are products of prakriti maya. The atma tattva manifest as sixty secondary principles or sārpu tattuvam or pura karuvigal (external instruments). They are listed below: From Earth: hair, bone, skin, nerves, flesh From Water: saliva/urine/chile, blood, semen, brain, marrow Fire: hunger, sleep, sexual desire, fear, laziness Air: walking, running, standing, sitting and lying Sky: anger, greed, miserliness, malice and obstinacy Earth: ten nadi or energy channels idai, pingalai, sulumunai, gandhari, atthi, asvani, aalam, purusha, sootham, singuvai Fire and air: five primary vital breaths, prana, apana, udhana, samana, vyana All the five elements: the five secondary vital breaths, nagan, koorman, kirikaran, devadatthan, dhananjayan Sky: the three attachments (etanai) wealth, world and offspring Vak or speech- talking, memorizing, singing, weeping and exulting Prakriti: the three qualities- rajas, tamas and satva Bindu: four stages of sound, paishanthi, madhyama, vaikari, sukshma Among the 36 internal instruments, the karmendriya and gyanendriya are called the pulan or senses. The five subtle qualities and the three modifications of the mind without the chittham are called puri ashtakam or eight senses. Eyes are important but the maintenance of the body is advocated in sanskrit and Tamil and in many other languages K Rajaram IRS 9 1 24 On Tue, 9 Jan 2024 at 08:15, 'venkat giri' via iyer123 < iyer...@googlegroups.com> wrote: > *Respected Sir/s,* > * EYES are organs of the visual system.
