John Locke didn't need look to know that Boone was brooding. He'd been brooding ever since Locke had doped him up and let him take the eye-opening trip that had forced the younger man to see the world....this world as it really was and not as he wished it was. "Wanna talk about it?" Locke asked suddenly breaking the hour long silence. Boone continued to stare at the mysterious hatch, keeping his silence. "If you're still angry with the vision I forced you into, I...." "S'okay. No harm, no foul." Boone mumbled "Well something has your hackles up, Boone. I'd like to make it better between us if its something I've done." "I said it wasn't, didn't I?" Boone grumbled, staring morosely at the hatch. Locke let it go, but now instead of his own gaze resting on the hatch in thought, it pressed heavily on his young companion. Boone's head suddenly shot around to meet his unwavering gaze. "She asked if you were...." He choked on the words, shaking his head bitterly. Locke moved to kneel before Boone, forcing him to meet his eyes. "Who asked?" he cupped Boone's bristled cheek. "You're sister?" Boone's eyes closed, closing over his private pain as he nodded. "Yeah." "What did she say, Boone?" Locke coaxed. "You can trust me." Boone looked at him, the weight of the universe in his dark eyes. "She asked....if you were...." he swallowed hard, hesitating the blurted out, "..If you were my latest boyfriend." A slow smile curved Locke's lips and he tilted his head. "And that upsets you because you find the idea...distasteful?" Boone shuddered. "Boone?" Boone's head dropped, his eyes on the twisting hands in his lap. "I don't....do girls." Locke laughed softly. "No?" "Not since..." "Since?" "She's not a blood sister, you know? It wasn't...incest." "You're bi?" "Gay...now." He met Locke's warm gaze. "Does that make a difference?" Lock leaned back on his heels, looking Boone up and down. "Oh I think it does, yes." "Oh...ah, well," Boone got to his feet, staring one last time at Locke as his eyes filled with tears. "Ah....okay..." He turned and began walking across the clearing. Locke was on him in a heartbeat, turning him around in his loose embrace. Confusion flickered over Boone's face. His lips parted to speak but no words came. Locke used that moment to gain access to the promised land, claiming Boone's lips in a slow seduction of light kisses. Boone froze in his arms for long enough for the reality to meet his disbelief in battle and crumble. He melted against Locke's strong chest, opening his lips in eager submission. The need to breathe broke them apart, but only far enough for a shared smile and the whispered command. "Next time she asks, tell her yes." end feedback please.
