One of my machines does this. It started when I changed routers. I 
suspect/guess that it's a combination of the NIC and the router -- some 
interaction in the DHCP process. I often see the connection say "Connected" and 
then it goes to "Limited connectivity".

So I realize this doesn't solve your problem; if you can, try a different NIC. 
And report back here so we can add to the common knowledgebase!
