I'm guessing that it wasn't Version 8 in that case...

I made the switch to Comodo in Fall '06, but I'd had sporadic bluescreens on 
the (3) machines in question for a couple of years.  I had whatever would 
have been the latest version of ZA at the time on our machines.  I only 
worked out the cause when they started coming very regularly.  To diagnose I 
removed all TSRs, and reinstalled one at a time until bluescreens started 
happening again.  (This took weeks for full diagnosis.)  Shortly after 
reinstalling ZA I got a bluescreen.  I removed it again, installed Comodo, 
and haven't had a problem since, until the SP3 problem last week.
