I do not know these models, but type numbers have also allowed us to know screen resolutions, screen sizes in some cases, memory installed, wireless type, external sockets, hard drive sizes, optical drives... and so on... The warranties were a separate issue.
Of course, most components are interchangeable... Earlier X-series were quite different... eg X30, X31, X41 as there were some T-series such as a variety of T-43 models... so it is easy to see why the question comes up... and could come up again.
