Hello Dehqan, Many of the people on this mailing list run Microsoft Windows on their ThinkPads and are not familiar with Linux.
There is, however, a dedicated mailing list you can subscribe to which just discusses Linux on ThinkPads, the Linux-ThinkPad mailing list. You can visit their subscription page for more information at http://mailman.linux-thinkpad.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-thinkpad I am sure they will be able to help you with the problem of resuming from suspend on your ThinkPad R61 running Debian 5.
