I've yet to figure out how to implement eSATA on my docked T60.
fwiw, I have a Fujitsu laptop that I purchased (about a year ago) partly because it had an expresscard slot which could then be used to connect two external drives via esata.
It was nifty-fast, but it would intermittently dismount a drive -- and that proved hard to troubleshoot, given so many potential troublemakers (notebook, OS, expresscard, esata cables, enclosure, drive) -- and I finally gave up and reverted to USB, no dismounts since. I might give it another go one of these days, as it was quite nice when it worked.
