I went through the whole cycle a 4th time. that registry cleaner finds nothing
(random leap in the dark: IOBIT Advanced System Care uninstaller also finds nothing) but regedt32 finds some hp/hewlett/1200/laserjet stuff, which I delete, but the HP laserjet 1200 items under USBPRINT (now under 3 different USB000x virtual ports) cannot be deleted. Amazing. When I do a "fresh" install and use the latest HP driver, printing fails, and looking at the printers+faxes util, it shows "HP LaserJet 1200 Series PCL 5e" and "HP LaserJet 1200 Series PCL 5e (copy 1)", so I guess there's still some c...@p lurking in the screwed-up/unscrewable registry. thanks Len _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
