I am considering buying a X4* tablet, and migrating my 2.5“ 60 GB 7200
rpm XP SP3 running system from my current X31, to the new disk (I'm
thinking I'll do that through cloning with XXCLONE and/or DiskImage
XML). Then, upgrade to Tablet functionality (XP) by obtaining OEM disks
from Thinkpad support/eBay/Newegg.

The main drawback I’m seeing is the lack of Thinklight in tablets. I am
thinking buying “happy hacking” keyboard (manufactured?) and then decal
set. Either phosphorescent optimised to charge at the CFL spectrum (you
just almost-close the lid for a couple of seconds to charge). Or
directional scattering/fluorescing or reflective. If these exist (does
Apple have a patent on backlighting or what? ).

Any ideas anyone?

PS. I am also planning to have 2 non-protruding, low cell number
batteries, instead of one large capacity, and keep them at top capacity
through cell changing, in order to get ~8 hrs total battery time for
major travels.
