Do you have any reason to believe that it will be possible to upgrade a
standard XP system to XP Tablet Edition using OEM disks of any sort? That
seems very far-fetched. OEM installation disks will generally not do upgrade
installations. My apology if you've found a source that indicates that it
may work - and I'd be curious to see a reference for my own education.

Another drawback to consider is the 1.8" IDE drive in the X41 Tablet. When
the drive goes bad, you may have a very hard time finding a replacement at a
reasonable cost. I don't think anyone has made those drives for some time.
