If you have use for IDE disks for laptops, you may want to get
spares soon. I am hearing, from several friends I trust, that
IDE disk manufacture is ramping down. In comparison $138
would get you a 1T sata disk.

*sigh*

Think of all the thinkpads out there which are still usefull
but may not have disks.

Sniff.

Large PATA/EIDE drive for T43

I bought one (for my T43p) on Amazon.
They are now getting harder to find,
so prices have crept upwards.
Presently $138 on Amazon,
and about half that on eBay.

Even though this is a 5400 RPM drive,
its sustained transfer rate matches
its ATA-100 (PATA) interface.

Do you have a link to those?
The only ones I could find were 3.5".
