Steve, I know it was already suggested you increase your connection timeout but have you tried setting it around 500 - 600 secs. It seems rather large but it what most users are getting to work with TB2 and that setting would probably will work with TB3. Personally I haven't installed TB3 as I have been waiting on the final release. It seems that TB is using the same connection timer for all accounts at the same time and it ends up timing out if you have multiple slow accounts connections at the same time.
If this doesn't work, You should generate a set of logfiles for the yahoo account and send them to webmail author for additional troubleshooting of the problem.
