@Martin @Dave I can make no guarantees that you can have a wider sidebar 
with the Stories plugin as it is now but I think it should work.The fixed 
width of the sidebar that you are seeing now is most likely due to 
hardwired numbers for the sidebar width in a non-Stories CSS tiddler, 
perhaps from TiddlyBlink?

The solution would be to pull the number from the config tiddler 
$:/themes/tiddlywiki/vanilla/metrics/sidebarwidth
