Yea, the browser security / removing functionality issue bites us hard 
these days :) And using unsupported browsers imo isn't a solution for the 
long run. 

I think it would be possible, to rewrite the plugin, to use TiddlyFox and 
the "core" save mechanism. But I didn't have a closer look.
