Hi Henry, Filters can indeed be used in the Advanced Search tiddler, but only on its Filter tab. That tab is an excellent way to learn about filters.
(The Standard tab, System tab and Shadows tab of Advanced Search simply search for text in those three categories of tiddlers.)
