Glad you are interested. Some time has passed since you posted this so I thought I would throw out some quick responses about how some of these things have evolved as we've continued work:
# Save changes doesn't seem to do what it's name suggests it ought to do. That is, saving changes and opening up the same site (http:// markpea.tiddlyspace.com/) in another browser (Flock) reveals that nothing actually got saved.
If you are a member of a space, and auto save changes is turned on (that's the default) then the 'save changes' menu item doesn't have much of a role to play as tiddlers are saved each time you edit them. Getting the UI right in relation to how changes are being saved is something that is being continuously improved.
# I don't see any means of making tiddlers Private or Public as the manifesto suggests that I should be able to do.
This feature has been added recently (under the extra commands icon), but still needs a great deal of tweaking. Managing private and public tiddlers in a sensible way is proving to be a wickedly complex problem.
# How does one import tiddlers?
