It's in the works, but I don't have a definite timeframe yet. I don't
want to talk about it too much until I have code in hand. I can say,
however, that it will be similar to what Victor described earlier in the
thread. The user logs into a web site and sees a list of their current
sessions, and they can choose to connect to an existing one or start a
new one. They can also see a heads-up display of other users who are
connected to other machines in the cluster, and they can request a
collaborative session with one of the other users.

This will probably be released as a separate open source project, so
hypothetically, it could support TigerVNC as well as TurboVNC, but
TigerVNC would have to be extended to handle TightVNC-compatible .vnc
connection files, one-time password support, and session access control
lists. At the moment, the portal just dynamically generates a .vnc file
and downloads it to the client machine so that it can be opened by a
local install of the TurboVNC viewer. In the long term, I'd like to add
the ability to launch the Java viewer via JWS as well.

I'm certainly open to outside contributions that would enable the use of
TigerVNC or any other VNC flavor within that environment.
