Hi Said, In that case the new firmware will not be compatible at all. The new hardware uses FTDI FT245R USB FIFO chip which has a parallel interface to the micro. Host side USB drivers make it appear like a virtual serial port, which is why all the serial port parameters can be ignored.

Hi Abdul, we modified the board to have true RS-232 output to talk to an instrument that just has RS-232, and we are bypassing the USB chip, but our RS-232 does not have flow control. This works well (with the timing loops) but I think with the new software it could be sped-up quite a bit. bye, Said ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list time-nuts@febo.com https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list time-nuts@febo.com https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts
