For Frequency, Phase, Time and Distance I use: (delta frequency/frequency)= (delta phase/phase)= -(delta time/time)= -(delta distance/distance)
This is shown on page 20.16 of Electronic Instrument Handbook, second edition
by Clyde F. Coombs. It is a good reference to have available. I looked for a free pdf version, but was not able to find one. I added the -(delta distance/distance) part.
