New SpeedTouch firmware like in the ST 780 always has the NAT module inline even when you use the "assign external address to internal system" functionality, and the NAT module has some kind of leak. It always breaks down after some time of operation, dropping existing translations. Those modems are no longer usable. I tried to report it to their helpdesk but although they seem to be helpful at first, nothing finally happened with my request to get the old transparent mode back, and the problems with the NAT were not really acknowledged.
