atm, i've BIOS v1903.  there's one newer version now available, v2003.

i've found no mention of timing fixes via this upgrade ... do you by
any chance have a reference for your M#A mobo suspicions?

sounds like you may have experienced it yourself.  if so, i'd be
curious to know which BIOS version you upgraded to to fix the problem
...
