Hi,
I manage networks for customers all around the world and use pool.ntp.org to
keep one or more local time servers synchronised on all of them.
It works great apart from in Russia.
The following servers which are in the DNS zone for ru.pool.ntp.org do not
work for me:
193.124.11.11 s2.ntp.ru
95.140.150.141 o11.ntp.ru
95.140.150.142 o12.ntp.ru
95.140.150.143 o13.ntp.ru
80.90.180.141 o21.ntp.ru
80.90.180.142 o22.ntp.ru
80.90.180.143 o23.ntp.ru
I can ping them all and they can be successfully queried with "ntpdate -d IP"
but if I put them in /etc/ntp.conf to try and slave from them, they do not
work at all.
For example:
mylocaltimeserver:~ # ntpq -pn
remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset jitter

I get the same result from 3 different network providers (Mastertel, Comstar
and Rostelecom)
Can someone please check if these servers are broken or if I'm doing something
wrong?
Maybe the administrator of these servers reads this list?
Thanks,
Andy Spiers
