1.) Payroll has been solved by other ERP's. So how did they do it? They do it
by putting in things like flexible rules systems that you can configure to
accomodate needs of each country with their special taxes, percentages, limits,
etc. Tiny will not be used in any major context without having a Payroll
module. Surely we all collectively have enough knowledge about the different
payroll requirements for each country/area that we can put some requirements
together.

  2.) amen.

3.) I truly do not understand why you make this statement:

> I wouldn't trust my financial data to any current version of MySQL

Thousands upon thousands of companies trust MySQL everyday with their financial
data without any problem. It seems as though the one thing that detractors of
MySQL love to point to is this Feb. 30th date thing, meanwhile overlooking all
the other huge benefits that MySQL offers. I mean really, put in a date edit
for crying out loud and forget about it. I"m not going to relist all the
reasons why supporting MySQL or database independence is a good idea. Here are
the posts for that information:

I understand that you like Postgres. Fine, but, postgres is not found in many
companies. And if you think you will have an easy time convincing customers to
install a second database different from their current database infrastructure
then I would assert you have never tried this. I have many years of dealing
with CIO's and CTO's and it presents a huge hurdle when your product offering
requires such things as a special database requirement. This is nothing
against Postgres, it is just a fact of the marketplace.

4.) Integration with the open document system is critical. Then from there
you can do many many things, including embed things in other documents and
printing to PDF and a host of other formats.

5.) Yes, better tools for reporting and templating are definitely needed.
