Pedro, All in your post was related to configuration. Whether to ignore check constraints and whether you get implicit commits is a function of how you have set SQL_MODE and what STRICT mode you have selected. And no application is going to permit or tell the user that it is ok to set ALLOW_INVALID_DATES. That would be just ridiculous.
