Hello, is it possible to use variable products in OpenERP? I give an example:
My company manufactures and sells bikes. One bike is manufactored with three different parts: a frame, two wheels and one lamp. The guys from the distribution sell the bikes on the phone. They should be able to choose between 5 different kind of wheels, 10 different kind of lamps and 20 different kind of frames while placing the order in OpenERP. Afterwards this options should be considered during manufactoring and the total price from a bike differs, depending on the choosed options. Is it possible in OpenERP? I think so, but can someone give me a keyword how this kind of product configuration is called in OpenERP? Is there a documentation on this topic?
