A bit further now... The plugin in thunderbird is installed. I get the pop-up and I can search for a partner. I select the partner and then click the button "attachment", but then nothing happens. I took the latest add-onn files from launchpad and put that imported that in openerp but no matter how many times I click "attachment", the mail isn't archived in OpenERP. I tried to completely uninstall the add-on in OpenERP through the client without luck.
Any suggestions?
