I am sorry I have missed your post... Well, it may be some really good internal
mega features, but if we look at the features people perceive and do really
care about, are for example the ergonomic.

Why I say OpenERP is a bit green?
1) People are used to some small features in the interface, that are common in
the well known software they have used before. If you take away them, anybody
would say that software is unusable at all (!!!).

GTK client are pretty good, but still lacks features to improve working speed
of a user.

eTiny are unusable for day to day use, so it seems that nobody have tried to
use it for real. In this case there are simple rules of communication between
user and the system ignored just like that, without a reason at all. Or it has
been created for specific purpose, not with generic user in mind, or by an IT
personnel that have never used the system by themselves. I remember there were
some community folks who tuned it up, an it seemed a lot better, but as the
license does not allow hard changes to eTiny, and probably they because they
were not Partners, nobody from Tiny or Axelor just cared about that.

This again was the case when Marketing image was the primary, and the eTiny is
created with different license.

2) For example the "Partners" in the base module in 4.2. they were so unusable
and apart from real life situation, this was the first thing we tuned up. BTW
very close to what it is now in 5.version. This is not a rocket science, take
any business software and just make a close "copy" from the forms and structure
of objects. There is nothing to invent.

3) Security is so ..... Or better let's say in 4.2 there were no security at
all. It is crazy to think that information is safe when, the only 1/2 of
measures one can take is hiding the menu from the user. The second 1/2 is
disabling access to the model as a whole.

Nobody just had in their mind to try to access the critical info directly from
for example XML-RPC.

4) Nobody just tried to tune performance at least on central DB tables, by
adding some indexes. Although there is couple of indexes present, there are no
API functionality to add them, not consistent, so I see that somebody have
added them by a chance. I do not even talk about things that are beyond basic
DB functionality.

5) Total nonacceptance of critics. This comes when somebody wants to reinvent a
wheel, but do not count the basic physics rules.

Is it enough? I could have continued the list.

Maybe I have not so extensive experience of ERP systems as you do, but I have
seen plenty of other systems, and when I see such blunders, I have mentioned, I
have all the rights to call the system at least "a bit green".

Maybe I am a bit too rude, but this is because of the 5th, remember the
conversations we have had before.
