Hi, @Amit
I'll give your solution a try tomorrow at work and let you know how it went. I need this server running ASAP. That does not take away that your remark of developing in a 2.5 & 2.6 environment and not testing against 2.4 is a bit strange. While the docs state 2.4 is the minimum, and that is what the web client started out with. Don't forget that OpenErp is not run on a machine somewhere in a back room. It's run on production machines that can't afford to just go with the flow of the next major language release. So, like Bert, I think it would have been better, or is better, to have kept (to keep) developing with python 2.4 so you would be sure your still in compliance with what the project started out with. And only major changes with the next major release of OpenErp server. That, as I understand, still depends on python 2.4 My 2 cents. Again will give your suggestion a try and will let you know how it goes. I'm just a bit scared that later on, when things get in heavy production here that things could break and I do not know what could have caused the problem.
