I'm in the same need, would like to translate several modules to Dutch as they are commonly used here. Now I have to find the maintainer and send him the translation file, but it would be much more helpful to have them in launchpad directly, so the community can directly translate as they used to be for the /addons modules.
Would be good when Fabien can answer the email from Jordi as it is (only) a technical structure in launchpad to change.
