Hello, I'm working in a service company and we are using the web client (V5) in production for 6 months. So I think we are one of the oldest and activest user if I refer the number of bugs I reported :) We are 5 users and we use the service profile configuration to follow our projects and timesheets. We also use the planning to have a collaborative tool.
So I'm not an expert but just an end user. In my point of view, the aspects to improve are : 1)menu because actualy you often should re-open the sub menu -->it's look better in the next version even I don't really understand the benefit of big icons with tabs. 2)Shorcuts : In the current version only 6 shortcuts are shown in the curent screen it's not enought. -->We need 10-15 (especialy in a small company as it was saied in previous post) it will be better if they are always visible 3)It will be nice to change the fontsize directly in OpenERP (instead of using the zoom of the web browser) 4)Navigation With the current version (both web client and GTK), depending on the context, cliking a link you obtain different results, for exemple clicking the name of the project: In the projects list view : shows the project form view. In the projects structure (tree) view : shows the tasks of the project. -->Clicking the name of the project schould ALWAYS show the project form view. It seems more consistent (an easier to learn) to obtain the same view by clicking the same link.So you don't have to perfectly know OpenERP to navigate. I think it will better to add a new column in the project structure view to show the number of tasks on each project. By clicking the number of tasks, it will display the tasks of the project. The same exemple could be provide in analytic accounts and certainly in other parts of openerp. 5)Export: Should be improved because making a report is too difficult for a end user. -->export more than 100 lines (without installing any patch). For now I have to switch with GTK to export and print data. -->By default, the fields of the list view should appear in the Fields to export area (with a button 'Clear all'to quickly delete them if they are not needed). -->allow to re-order the field to export (with 2 buttons Up and Down) 6)Change a value in a field : You should select the old value, DELETE it and enter the new value. -->After selection you should directly enter your new value without deleting the previous one like in the other software. 7)Filter (I didn't see the latest improvment in trunk) When you start to enter a value in a One2many widget (if I have correctly understood the IT jargon)and you press TAB, the value you enter should appears in the Searchable area so you can change it in case of typo or to complete it wihtout re-enter it again. 8)Calendar -->lot of Blueprint are still registered (choose default day/week/ month view, date & hour formats...) 9) Hide the header (Company logo, preferences,log out,user,...) capabilities to avoid to waste of room and scroll up /down with forms like invoices. May be use the left bottom corner with vertical tabs for shortcuts, tools (preferences, about),IM... 10)The GTK and web client should provide a similar interface because some functionalities are only available in the web client (calendar, gantt). When you have to switch it's easier. Koo's interface is better on this point.
