Hi Kaspars,

I looked at Sharoon's blog after your post and it seems he is quite pissed off
at the exorbitant costs OpenERP is wanting to charge. One of the reason why we
didn't buy there plan was because it was just too expensive, perhaps they could
have thought about the world rather than just Western economies. Nevertheless,
its their business they can charge what they like.

On the other hand, if you think about commercial products like MS Dynamics,
SAP, Oracle etc.. or if you have come from that background, for OpenERP to
prioritize their partners based on revenue generation seems pretty fair. It is
more of a necessity for the growth.

If I understand correctly, than what OpenERP is doing with regards to revenue,
it has far greater effects on European market than us in Asia and Africa (until
unless it stays open source).

As for Tryton, I had a brief look at it, it could be a good software but it was
a mission to install it let alone test it. Perhaps, it is much more mature now.
By the way, what is the guarantee Tryton will not do the same what OpenERP is
doing right now.

I agree with the fact there is not much activity lately. Not sure why.

Regards,
Khalid Dhariwal
