Scope of EWSN 2006: =================== Wireless sensor networks (WSN) - networks of tiny, autonomous sensor devices equipped with wireless communication - are a topic of active research in a number of different research communities, ranging from hardware to applications. EWSN 2006 is the third of a series of annual meetings focusing on the latest research in this rapidly growing research area, featuring a highly selective single-track technical program, posters and demonstrations, keynotes, and tutorials. Posters and Demos: ================== The poster session will provide a forum for researchers to showcase their work and obtain feedback on ongoing research from knowledgeable conference attendees. A poster presentation can also be accompanied by a demonstration to illustrate an application, technology, or platform. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: * Hardware for WSN * Communication protocols * Operating systems and programming abstractions * Middleware and service infrastructures * Information processing * Security * Novel applications * Prototypes, field studies, and testbeds * Modeling For further information, please visit the workshop website (http://www.ewsn.org) or contact the program chairs at <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. Important Dates: ================ Poster/Demo submission deadline: Dec 19, 2005 (noon, Zurich local time) Notification of acceptance: Jan 6, 2006 Camera-ready version: Jan 13, 2006 EWSN 2006 Conference: Feb 13 - 15, 2006 Submission Details: =================== Poster and demo proposals must be submitted as a PDF file with no more than 2 pages containing an abstract describing the research content presented in the poster or demonstration, along with title, authors, institutional affiliations, and contact information. The title of poster proposals should be prefixed by "Poster Abstract:", while the title of demonstration proposals should be prefixed by "Demo Abstract:". Submissions must conform to the ACM SIG Proceedings format (see http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html). Please submit your poster proposal as a PDF E-mail attachment to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the subject line reading "EWSN Poster Submission" before the deadline. We will adopt a simplified review process for poster and demo proposals. The abstracts of accepted proposals will be published in the EWSN 2006 adjunct proceedings.
