Good point. That's one of the major mysteries of life in Quebec. What the heck is it we're exhorted to remember? Perhaps we need collective recovered memory therapy (does it work for an entire province)? Of course, keeping in mind that it was the separatist Parti Quebecois that promulgated that enigmatic slogan (previously it was the insipid "La Belle Province"), the usual guess is that what we're supposed to dwell on are past injustices, lots of them, inflicted on "us" by "them" (can a licence plate slogan be paranoid?). On the other hand, at least it's not "Live Free or Die", which sounds to me like an invitation to suicide bombing. Stephen ______________________________________________________________ Stephen L.
