need teaching diversity advice

I need some help (soon, unfortunately) as I'm leading a discussion on 
diversity for first year students tomorrow; by the way my first class 
went today, I'm fairly confident that many of these students (most of 
whom are from the South) have never considered these issues in the 
slightest. Yikes! Any advice for leading a meaningful discussion on 
this topic for this kind of population?
