Hey, TIPsters -
As increasing proportions of us use e-mail systems that permit all kinds of formatting
options -- rich text, HTML, Symbionese (OK, that one is kidding) -- those of us who
get TIPs as a daily digest (which is a text-only format) are treated to more and more
screens full of text that look something like this:
@font-face
{font-family:Tahoma;
panose-1:2 11 6 4 3 5 4 4 2 4;}
/* Style Definitions */
p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal
{margin:0in;
margin-bottom:.0001pt;
font-size:12.0pt;
font-family:"Times New Roman";}
a:link, span.MsoHyperlink
Personally, I would be grateful if folks would remember to send messages to the list
as "plain text" or at least with minimal formatting. This would make it much easier to
focus on content without wading through lots of code that doesn't enhance the valuable
discussions of teaching this list has always provided.
Thank you,
Michael Renner
