I made these two points (and others) in a commentary that I submitted
to Psych. Science. The Editor declined to publish the commentary but
did compliment me on reading the article closely.

am shopping for an alternative outlet. A friend suggests American
Psychologist :-)
Hmmm... I submitted a commentary to Psych Science
about improper use of statistics in an article showing that dogs resemble
their owners (they don't when you analyze the data correctly), and the editor
declined to publsih that one too. I sense a pattern here.
