Dear Ken,

My understanding of a standardized (psychological) test is one that is 
not only administered in a uniform manner to everyone who takes it, 
but also has been judged on its psychometric properties (reliability and 
validity) and norms (if norms-referenced) and standards (if criterion-
referenced).
