That old problem of whom to attribute it to resurfaces. But that rare
thing, an attribution for it, does exist. It's:

Graham, CD. 1957. A glossary for research reports. Metal Progress 71: 75

See
http://www.scientificblogging.com/genomicron/guide_to_translating_scientif
ic_papers_into_plain_english

or http://tinyurl.com/65fz9r

I suggest that in the absence of information to the contrary we assume it
really is Graham's work and restore his name as its clever author
whenever and wherever we post it. One small step for correcting the
attribution record.

Interesting to see how the original work has evolved from one
specifically for researchers in metals science to a more general form
(click on the link "a glossary for research reports" to see the probable
original).
