A student asked a question today in my intro class that I was unsure how
to answer. I was discussing the phenomenon of stimulus discrimination in
classical conditioning - a student asked whether discrimination is
spontaneously recovered following extinction or whether discrimination is
obliterated entirely and must be reestablished. Certainly, a CS per se
can be spontaneously recovered but I was unsure whether discrimination
shows spontaneous recovery as well. Any inputs from all you behavior
analysts out there would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Matt Prull
