You probably have heard that a newspaper in Vancouver, Washington
published Oregon's winning Pick 4 lottery numbers (6-8-5-5) before they
were drawn. The Associated Press said that the odds of winning the Pick
4 are 6561 to 1.

Newspaper officials said that they mistakenly published the previous
day's winning numbers from Virginia, and the Associated press said that
the odds of this type of error are 43 million to 1.

But Marilyn, wouldn't the odds of winning the Pick 4 in Oregon be 6561
to 1, if you decided to play the winners that won the previous day in
Virginia?

Just wondering,
B. Stein
