Blaine - Extremely odd. We certainly receive similar termination notices from
our IRB, but they always deal with the running of new participants, not with
the analysis or presentation/dissemination of data. I have never heard of
this stipulation before, and I am at a loss to understand its rationale.

The Master in the Art of Living makes little distinction between his work and
his play,
his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his
recreation,
his love and his intellectual passions. He hardly knows which is which.
He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does,
leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing.
To him - he is always doing both.

Subject: [tips] IRB Question

I recently received an email from our university IRB chair indicating that a
project was approaching its date of termination. The email requested that I
indicate whether my intent was to terminate, continue, or change the project.
The email went on to say in the absence of a renewal form "your study is
terminated, and you will no longer be approved to continue work on this
project, including data analysis and preparation of presentations."

I am especially interested in comments or insights regarding the last portion
of the quote. Thanks so much, Blaine
