Dear Tipsters,

Allen Esterson is informative and more than generous in his response to a
posting that even he presents to be "risible".

However, forgive me if I reiterate a past theme that some of us are frustrated
over the time that can be wasted correcting errors in initial postings. I know
that there is a sentiment that some of these postings may be offered as
provocative but I find most of them simply annoying.

Sorry to carp but there it is.

Sincerely,

Stuart

Elsewhere in London:

"What really felt amazing yesterday was how many people were out in the
streets, all day and night. People literally sweeping the streets, taking the
broken glass out of windows, glueing wood to broken doors and talking to
strangers from all different types of class/race/gender and backgrounds. The
atmosphere was positive and protective."

MyBuilder is co-ordinating more than 300 tradesmen from around the country who
are each giving at least half a day of labour free of charge to those in need.
Ryan Notz of MyBuilder said that the response from tradesmen was "genuinely
heartwarming and shows the level of intent out in the UK building/tradesmen
community to help others who have suffered in the riots". The riots have also
sparked a number of online campaigns to raise money and help those affected.
