I have a copy of the first, error-ridden one. It was the first time that I'd convinced the APA that I deserved a desk copy (maybe they realized that I'd caused the sale of thousands of those manuals over the years and didn't want to jeopardize that).
However, when I asked for a copy of the second, corrected printing, they said "no." So now I have a couple copies in the library and no longer require its purchase of my students -- I give them the main things, and let them go to the library if they need more help.
