There are shows that I tend to record on both TiVos since I don't know where
I'll watch them.  Perhaps I'll start recording more in the TiVo and use TiVo To
Go (which I've not used in ages) to get the show to the PC in the background,
then do a wired transfer from the PC to the TiVo.

Or maybe I shouldn't be so cheap and buy a replacement USB200M, and not be so
lazy and run another Ethernet cable!!!  (One of the runs is on an external wall
though, and the roof line doesn't give me much working room.  Ugh.)
Thanks guys.

Exactly. I have two S2 Tivos, one wireless and one wired. I can pull
programming from the wired one at about 750kbyte/sec but the wireless tops
out around 350kib/sec but is usually closer to 250kib/sec.

Wired is going to be faster the vast majority of the time. The hardware
is faster (sure 802.11n claims over 100mbit/s but that's under perfect
conditions and you never see those in the real world) and there's almost
infinitely less interference on a wire than over the air. Add in distance
degradation and wired wins every time. Of course wireless is far more
convenient.
