Friend of mine sent this to me.... haven't read it here so I thought I'd pass it along.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ starting with a recent version (2.7.1) of TiVo desktop, it nags you (everytime it's launched) to upgrade to TiVo Desktop Plus or whatever it's called. I read on the TiVoCommunity forum that you can make the nag popup go away by editing the registry (usual warnings about being user careful when messing with the registry and setting a backup point first and blah blah blah go here). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Edit the FirstTimeLaunchWizard Registry entry found in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TiVo\Desktop Change it from 0 (zero) to 1 (one) to say goodbye to the Welcome window. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
