Hi, On the EAP-TLS part I suggest that TLS WG replies as follows:
>We would further request that the IETF look at updating EAP-TLS once >draft-ietf-tls-mlkem is published as this is one of the mechanisms that IEEE >P802.11bt will use. EAP-TLS 1.3 (RFC 9190) relies on TLS 1.3 (RFC 8446) for negotiation of key exchange algorithms. As a result, EAP-TLS 1.3 can negotiate and use any new algorithm registered in the TLS Supported Groups registry, including mlkem512 (0x0200), mlkem768 (0x0201), and mlkem1024 (0x0202). IEEE P802.11bt can mandate or recommend support of ML-KEM in its application profile. By contrast, EAP-TLS 1.2 (RFC 5216) cannot negotiate ML-KEM or other PQC algorithms. The TLS Working Group has decided not to update TLS 1.2 (RFC 5246) with PQC. If IEEE still depends on EAP-TLS 1.2, migration to EAP-TLS 1.3 is recommended. Salowey, and Sean Turner, The IEEE 802.11 working group and the IEEE 802 standards committee approved the attached liaison to the IETF TLS WG at our 2026 March 802 plenary session. The IEEE 802.11 working group has a project, P802.11bt, where the scope is to “extend IEEE 802.11 security to support algorithms for post-quantum cryptography (PQC).” The IEEE 802.11 Working Group would like to express support for publication of draft-ietf-tls-mlkem as an RFC with its definition of key establishment options that use pure ML-KEM. We would further request that the IETF look at updating EAP-TLS once draft-ietf-tls-mlkem is published as this is one of the mechanisms that IEEE P802.11bt will use. Please contact me as chair of the IEEE 802.11 Working Group and Peter Yee as IEEE 802.11 IETF Liaison Officer for further information.
